I went in to Wrexham on Saturday afternoon and I saw an Orange one just like this as I was driving in.

I did not see you for a while on Sat Colin, did you pop to Wrexham for a snack before the meal.

Now, been thinking about something they told us, and checking some facts.
Did you know, that 75's and Concorde have something in common. Well the V6's anyway. They both have VIS valves. OK on Concorde they call them Variable Intake Ramps, but basically the same idea! And before you say that the ones on Concorde worked but the ones on the 75 don't, then bear in mind that on a test flight Concord lost a VIR into an engine and ended up coming home on three! |

Oh, and another thing.....
there were a few things our tour guide didn't get quite right as far as I can tell. For example, he told us the Pitot tube was used to provide power to a number of instruments in the cockpit. This surprised me as I'd been told it was used for measuring airspeed. Done some checking and it seems my Dad was right (well he is an Aeronautical Engineer). |
