I have contacted Omitec's technical department to verify if I did in fact have the most up to date disc (DST0005V). DST0005V they have assured me is definately the most up to date disc available for the T4, issue date December 2004. Therefore I stand by my original statement. On what may I ask, are you basing the dates of the discs you have? Certainly the disc details you p.m'd me that you are using DST0001 and DST0003 are both numbers that were issued before that date. T4 will offer to update any software version it can't recognise especially if newer as older version discs won't be able to recognise it as being valid. Russ

"Upgrading" ECU's from the older discs can cause all sorts of possible problems according to Omitec's technical department if a newer version is already installed.
They suggest subscribing to their System (when they let you) and they will ensure you have the latest discs. Earlier editions were 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003 I have written down codes at work and will post up tomorrow if wanted. This all arose on enquiry re T4 and purchase of and support Package etc. |

Yes, the latest update pushes MPG to 30+, drops 0-60 to 4 secs and removes the 155mph limiter.
Unfortunately there is a bug that means the ecu reverts to the old software when you start the engine

Last disk I was aware of was DST0005Y with MG ZS updates on it only Please be aware MGR made a miss print on the DST0004 CD (well on the originals anyway that I have) stating it was 08/2008 when it was really 08/2004 so don't be fooled by what is on the label. The realease notes list the revisions on the CD and I am curious what is on your 2008 and 2009 disks. Personaly I am not in the slightest interested in ECU upgrades as I think it is purely a placebo effect and will never do those upgrades on somebody elses car but I would like to get my hands on a CD that does not bomb out reading fault codes on every CDT with a FBH fitted if one exists as that would be a real benefit |

No
Lol, I wish too well 30+ MPG will do, my 0-60 or rather 50-150 as it is the torque that takes over once you get the thing moving is more than enough to keep my happy |

T4 works well on Freelander TD4 with FBH option fitted using real time display etc. Doesn't help you with the 75 im afraid.

Yes I know as I now seem to do more Freelander and strange Rover than 75s as freelander owners and Range rover owners are happy to pay my going rate
75 owners now probably due to the value of the car want 3 or 4 hours work done for nought so I turn them away. I suspect the 75 fbh issue is not the Data disk but a fault in RDS 5.06 The Landrover software is far more flexibubble and up to date and is properly integrated with the WDS disks etc. |
