Found it thanks Duotone

People do seem to be holding onto their cars longer, service and repair garages seem to be doing well.
Car sales seem good in my area, with reports in the local news paper of dealers expanding. The garage were I bought Sue's Saxo from has sold 7 cars this week.

I've often noticed 75/ZT's in this area are for sale a lot more than guides say they should be.

That last line speaks volumes JDC.

The dealers are driving a hard bargain at the moment. I had got into the Rover AND started the engine up before the sales guy finally agreed to knock £250 off the Saxo I bought for Sue.

Even high mileage cars seem to be going up in price!

Judging by how much you have spent modding your car Paul, I would say that you greatly "appreciate" your car!!

But I know you meant you did not buy it to make money..

Most second hand cars now have very high mileage, due to the fact of people using for communting back and forward to work

My old car I PX for the 75 had very little mileage, still got bottom price for it, managed to get another 200 quid in the deal

Seeing a lot of used cars these days and the milage is very high, much over 100,000 miles and they are newer than my 75

My 75 has done double the mileage of my old car, service history and condition of 75 sold it to me

7 year old car still polishes up well
