Default New Shockers hmm..

Just warning if you try these ..

today put in the first of my 2 new Shocks from DMGRS onto the ZED Dizzle.

And old NS one came out easy , putting new ones back bit of a nightmare.

All because the new shocks are just over 2 nches longer than the original factory ones in their extended state ,, so when assembled the spring pushes the shock out by this much making the whole unit longer and impossible to put back on without compressing it again and keeping it compressed whilst installing, and my spring compressors wont fit in under the wheel arch..

But got it in in the end with a lot of faffing and jacking the shock up ( a few twitchy bottom moments ) ..

NB .. even though the feel of the old shock to new one seemed similar the first try down the road and the car feels a lot different on the NS ..

One more to go next week .

then 2 lower arms ..

Compress them a bit with cable ties or even some string to cut off once the damper is in place before tightening anything up.---

I compressed them off the car then bound the spring with tie down straps, about 8 turns each side.
But the weight still extended the shock ,so cable tied a a length of wood up under the roll bar link flange and was able to use the scissor jack to push it up..
All a bit tricky by yourself

I may be reading into this, but it sounds like the issue I had when i replaced mine.

After it occurred to me, i should have removed the bottom pinch bolt and hub, it would have been so much easier.

does the original shock pull out/extend manually? One of my rears would not remain extended and would sink down.
