Hi all,

Great looking MGF's and MGTF's !

I have always thought it was one of the best looking and handling two seater sports cars produced!
One day, I'll have one of my own ( or I'll buy my good lady one ) and that will complete our Rover / MG / Austin ownership!

A long time ago I used to work as a stores man at a Rover dealership in Derby.
That where I got my "Rover bug" and obsession from!
I drove one of the early Rover 75 2.0 diesels from our Derby branch to the Nottingham dealership.

I always promised myself I'd get one eventually as I loved it so much.
And now finally I have!

As far as I know, there isnt a cure for the Rover / MG bug.
It's progressive!

Mini's , Metro's ,Rover 25's Rover 45's MG ZS, now a MG ZT!

I just need a TF or a MGF to complete!

Rover on!!

Hey thanks Richard I will have to agree with you whole heartily there, these F/TF's are awesome, can be somewhat lethal at times; you must remember to drive sensibly.

The Rover bug, the MG obsession is just so addictive, you must get yourself an F/TF; your summers will be filled with even more MGR fun.

Cue the Roadster... I hope you get one.

I've driven a few MGF'S and LOVE them!

The TF is good, but I do think the hydrolastic suspension was better for ride quality, but still delivered in the handling stakes better than the coil over shocks on the TF.

Just my opinion,

The TF handles very well, but at the expense of some comfort.

Both versions are great! Dont get me wrong!
Bodywork on top normally is pretty good, but sadly, like any car of that age, underneath is where the problems start.

My wife used to have ( a long time ago ) a Triumph Spitfire, I have said many times that one day I'll buy her a MGF and I'd guarantee she'd love it!

Time, money, health.

The usual issues! It might happen one day!

I've owned an F and now a TF, and I much prefer the TF for ride and handling, not many folk go back to an F once they've experienced a TF.

To answer the original question at the start of the thread - yes, buy a new Golf.
