Good morning Andy, good morning all

It’s kind of you to help Maninder out with his clutch and getting out and about with the dogs is a plus.

Jessica read on google that I need to learn to play a recorder or a Didgeridoo for my sleep apnea/snoring

Have a great day

Really hot now - dogs are going to struggle a bit today I think.

Walked up by our local river (than runs into the R. Avon) this morning - dogs loved being in the water! The small trout were shooting up and down as the dogs jumped in and out of the water.

Dragonflys flew around us and would fly right up to us as though checking out what we were. They were brilliant ‘metallic’ blues and greens. Fantastic walk - marred only by what I think was the “Blandford Fly” - I got bitten a couple of times and JHC! do you know it.

Like a horse fly bite but these things are small black flies a bit smaller than a housefly and look more like a big mosquito.

Common in Dorset - looks like have them now.

Horrible things - leave a nasty bite.

Good morning Clive. Horsefly bites are painful and dangerous.... I carry a pen called ‘anti-bite pen’ for the mosquito bites and it works for me, made in the UK, I bought many. They contain urea which is great for calming the bites down and it relieves/stops the itching after the bite. Apologies for being clinical, look after yourself.

Dear me! It's sizzling here I've mown the lawns this morning & picked a feast from the greenhouse/garden, A huge bowl of ripe tomatoes (sliced tomatoes on toast for brekkie ) Some new potatoes, onions,French beans, sweet banana & bell peppers.
Got some lemon sole in the fridge to go with those.

That's me done now, this weather is far too hot for me so I'm going full nerd! I'm off to my mancave with the blackout curtains closed, a cool fan blowing & my train drivers hat for some Train Sim World games.

Great day on the ZTT - did a dry run putting the front all back together - I like to clean all the bolts and copper grease them or replace if knackered. - Years of struggling with corroded bolts and fixings have given me a hatred of old bolts.

Anyway - the good news is that the replacement fan bought via here works!!

Result!

New a/c condenser and so just as the summer ends I will get my aircon working “nose cone” is still off but all else refitted.

Only issue is the bonnet release cables jamming - one is not where it went originally as my attention slipped - but whilst it is not kinked in anyway - 16 year old cables do get a bit cranky so I’ll strip it down again tomorrow, re lubricate the cables (Why did I not do that as a matter of course!!! ) and put it all back.

Goes for MOT and re gas on Wednesday so pleased everything has gone so well.

Winter job will be changing the brushes on the original fan.

Evening all...

What a glorious hot day we've all had, far too hot for little doggies.

These UV protection tents seem to help keep them cool.
