Ballcock on the cold water tank isn't fully shutting off again, having to leave a bathroom tap dribbling to avoid water coming out of the overflow at night or when we're out. Annoyed as I replaced the diaphragm in the valve not that long ago. I'm sure I have another diaphragm somewhere, just need to find it

The likes of the diaphragm I would put in a kitchen (odds and sods) drawer, ain't there though. Trouble is my other half has a brain f@rt and and tidies the drawers, anything not immediately recognisable gets put away in the shed, additional problem is she recently tidied the shed so I can't find anything. The shed isn't "man territory", its more of an extension of the kitchen cupboards.

Yeah you're right It's fatal to have a tidy up.

Blimey! Just had another young lad round to look at my CCTV footage Another Jonny speed pants has crashed into his parked car at the top of our street and drove off at speed, He said it was a black car. I got the car speeding past on my CCTV, a black Volvo S60, It's took out the full side of his car, He's heartbroken.

It's getting ridiculous now with these mor0ns. Just the other week in the Bolton evening news it said car crime has risen 84% in the last 12 months here.
Expect the already sky high insurance premiums to rise here again

Its horrific hearing how Mary next door's dementia is worsening. Speaking to another neighbour earlier today, he'd phoned along looking to speak to George, Mary answered the phone. Neighbour asked if George was in, Mary replied "No but my Dad is here"! Its no wonder they're actively seeking a place in a nursing home, George now can't go out unless there's someone (usually a neighbour's daughter) to keep an eye on Mary, she's tried to go walkabout more than once which is worrying as the cottages are set back from what can be a busy road. I've known her since I moved here with my parents nigh on 40 years ago, she doesn't recognise me. By the way, I haven't used their real names.

I'm very concerned about my mothershe seems to very forgetful atm,. Hoping its down to the extra meds she's having to take, and being housebound. Getting in touch with adult care this week soon as we get home.

Richard, I would recommend that before you proceed that Power of Attorney is obtained for your mum for both financial AND health affairs. After which I would refer to her GP because tests are available the results of which may well determine how best to proceed. You might get lucky with genuine help from a council employee but in the experience of my friends and family you might have better odds on a lottery win.
