We went to Brecon today and stopped off at Llywynon Reservoir. I read that that the water levels had dropped so much that an old bridge was revealed. I really wanted to see that!

The valley was flooded in 1926 and this bridge (Pont Y Daf) is the only structure that remained. It's almost always submerged, so to see it and actually walk across it was quite a treat!
Such a quiet, beautiful and tranquil place. Seeing the bridge, although awesome was also quite sad. The lost communities that had to give up their lives to make way for the reservoir... That's progress I suppose....

Not that I like the colder, darker evenings, but it does make night photography easier....
Lovely night tonight.

This evening, I "won" on ebay a 10-20mm Sigma lens... Don't tell SWMBO!!
Looking forward to trying that out at night.
I don't think image quality will be any better, but will definitely catch more stars..

The 10-20 will give you some really nice skies - it's my favourite lens - enjoy!

Thank you. The only thing I'm wary of is the f4 maximum aperture.
I figure that it's probably not going to be noticeably different from the lens I'm using now with maximum aperture of f3.5..
