Thanks for your concerns.
But it does highlight my thoughts on the matter and goes some way to back up what I thought was the case. Now while its funny to watch you and I go at it remember I have no reputation to uphold,I'm selling nothing only asking questions. |

We are not talking about the means of applying the upgrade, you miss the point once again, 11 thousand man hours of research. Who give two hoots if it takes !/2 an hour to install, that is not what you are paying for Brian |

Well when I first wrote this thread several years ago at that time it was the best I could do but today I wouldn't recommend the route I took then now if more refined methods are available.
What is this 160 map then is there a seed thread with some details, just curious and all that... |

Its gone from being a bit of fun and experimentation to an expensive dark art form. Many members have a wish list in their signatures where getting a remap is a future dream. I would like the days of old were fun and camaraderie rule. It was a big risk back then to flash an ECU but today with the average car costing around £1200 and a high mileage one around £300-£600 its time for some fun again.

You will find fun and camaraderie go a long way on here, what doesn't sit particularly well is the theft of intellectual property. Now if you had met me in person at a meet and expressed your desires, I may well have lent some friendly advice, however you didn't so I won't It's a shame you see me and the other T4 operators as money grabbing demons, as nothing could be further from the truth, your attitude will never get you anywhere I'm afraid. Why pay to buy an original music CD? after all you can buy a cake of blank CD's and simply burn your own for pennies. It doesn't matter than when Phillips launched the CD, an average player was over £2000, I mean you can now buy a CD player for a fiver, so why is my favourite artist charging £15 for a CD, when a blank CD is 20p You are right in what you say, it is an artform, however given both the huge investment in both time and specialist equipment, it's hardly expensive...... Do you get the picture yet? Brian |
