Well done Wes, hope it has worked - keep your chin up.

I suppose I ought to give an update on my ongoing issues, whilst we wait for Wes to let us know how well it worked?

One completely failed kidney, one limping along and getting worse they say, that they put a stent into in January.

They have warned me I will be on dialysis within 18 to 24 months, with no chance of a kidney transplant - too old/ too many other issues. My iron levels have been getting worse, due to the failures and it has left me breathless, unable to walk far without a rest.

Last week they had a company deliver 4x Aranesp injections, to be kept in the fridge until needed, injected once per month. Yesterday, I had an made me an appointment to go in hospital for intravenous iron - the first time since the Covid. They did that, plus agreed to carry out the jab if I took it along with me. During the Covid, it has been a 6 weekly phone appointment, where I just provided my consultant with BP readings, after my surgery had sent them blood and urine samples.

The jabs are intended for self administration, but my surgery insists that I take them in for them to carry out the following three. The IV is supposed to begin to help 14 days after the IV, the jab is supposed to encourage iron retention/ production. Low iron = low energy. It might have just been a fluke, but walking to and from buses on my way home from hospital, I seemed to have quite a bit more energy than I have had for months - 100 yards and I would have been looking for somewhere to sit and recover from my exertions.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
