When I scrapped Tset, my 416, her brakes were stuck on. It was like she didn't want to go. She had a badly dented o/s front wing, and the engine was covered in thick oily muck, and her laquer was peeling too.
I was in tears when she went.
Don't do it Dave. Christine is part of your family now

Christine or the girl?

I'll let you think about that one.

Pain in the back side afterwards the seats were stuck.

I guess your right there.

Plus she's been part of me as well and I've left my mark and Andy too for rubber her down.

She's been hit by every Flack 88 and still this car doesn't die.

Getting rid of cars in the past has been pretty easy, But this motor and my Current Ford probe.

Not so easy as both these fine machines have a special place.
I've had her for 6 years now and with the amount of money she's taken off me I could have bought a ZT 260 by now.

Mind over heart, in my case over the years its been heart over mind.

Cried like a baby when we scrapped our old Astra. Mum had her from new, and passed her on to me when she realized she would never drive again. That was a month before she died.
Kept her exactly as mum had her, 'Mothers Union' sticker in the back window and everything. Lost a wheel trim, and searched until I found an original Vauxhall one to match.
When she had to be scrapped it was like losing mum again

Same here and my dad when he got rid of his Jaguar XJ sport 3.2 V8 now that went like a rocket.

I teared up a bit when Andy aka Trikey took Christine and drove off, I though someone in the local area was cutting onions.

Few months later got her back and she's still going strong.

Really touching story there and sorry about your mother, I'm the same as well if my dad goes I'll never get rid of his Lexus LS 400 that stays here, That's my dad pride in his fleet of cars he's owned over the years.
