Default Lord Rover's back stroy of Christine.

Hiya all I've had some interest in the Biomorphic Pearl Project and thought I'd hare the back story of Owner ship of Christine.

Be advised may make your eyes water, in terms on what I did simply because I like to be different regardless what the world says lol.

She started life as a Copper leaf red and paper she's a Rover 75 Connie SE, in 2012 I needed very baldy as my MK Mondeo diesel decided too kill its self, so needing a car for work I needed a reliable diesel engine.

That's when the 75 came in saw one in Colwyn bay and bought it for 500 she needed work, but that was okay I enjoy tinkering with cars in its my blood, At the Start she was expansive too maintain after things Failing straight after each, but once everything was sorted My god was she spot on, Trouble free motoring for 3 years straight and took me here there and everywhere, I Really looked afterd this motor, sometimes going a bit extreme with the servicing every 3000 miles oil changes and fuel filter changes and it did show.

The only issue I had over the years really was the drop links, but other then that's nothing major.

After all that it was time for modifications, too start with I bought the MG ZT bumper so I could respray it in the same colour copper leaf red and then put them on and make a 75/ZT Hybrid, Sporty exterior with comfort and luxury as the 75 interior, you got too love Walnut wood trim and leather seats that so relaxing to be in, Did a test fit of the bumpers and it was then during my test that X Power Grey and Copper leaf red worked so well and I was so impressed I decided to convert too a Two tone, In my eyes I loved it and stuck with it, Not many people liked it but this is me too me it was fantastic just like to go with the flow and do things simply because I can.

More modifications came into play and so on, The pictures will give you an idea what I did too her.

I really do like these cars very much, I'm a ford fan by heart, But there's always room for the 75/ZT in it because they are great cars and as long there is places like this on here, the Legacy of these fine machines will continue too live on.

Best thing I ever did was get her back and now I'm enjoying the ownership and will continue too do so all over again.

I've sprayed and painted smaller things in the past, but not a whole car.

The only thing I'm worried about is ballsing it up.

Trying too mask the areas and also some of my paint designs will be awkward too mask.

I think you might given me enough courage just go for it and learn as your doing it.
Masking took ages. We took almost all the trim off. You will see we left the trim around the rear screen. We could see no safe way to remove this so it was masked off. Are you going for a duotone look? If so fine line masking tape will be your friend. My mate did all the fine line stuff, took him mins as he has been doing it years. Great to watch.

Its always the prep work that's going to be the challenge with the designs I've got its going to be even more of a challenge.

I am going duro tone, but with a difference I'm going too cover of the car, the duro tone stops just under the chrome strips, what I'll be doing is bringing it down lower.

Too cover of the side and hopefully with the Biomothic green and Pearl black with nice hint of Chrome it should balance it out quite nicely.

I haven't saved them it was just a quick mock up that me and my mate did and just went for it.

Plus it will be a nice surprise too see what she'll be like after its done.
When she's finished then you'll see in her glory.

A lot of it has come from my head and trying too implement it.

I can do basic photo shopping but in the end of day Barry was the one really using it too the fullest.

Don't you worry the club will be the first too know when its finally completed.

Very much looking forward too this.

Just need too find a Pearl black ZT for breaking now as I can change the bonnet and tail gate without having too repaint my original once, saves a bit on spraying costs.
