Replacing mine didn't work either it turned out to be the airbag ecu was faulty.

Having problems with ours.

When you unplug and push back in the drivers (orange) airbag sensor, the light tends to go out.

New sensor fitted but I'm suspecting the actual black connector itself. Anyone know where I could get a new one to wire in ?

Can't find a car being broken near me.

Chceked and found the loom it as both black side connector which side are you after? one as black & Grey wire, the other Black & Blue Arctic

A big thank you to Arctic and new connector fitted.

Carpet lifted at the side and unplugged from sensor. Wires cut about 6" from plug to remove any possibly corroded or broken wires near the connector and then pulled back.

New connector tails fed back through loom. Cut to length, ends stripped and twisted together and soldered. Bit of heat shrink to seal (remember to feed the wire though the heatshrink before you solder it up) and a second heat shrink around both connections as belt and braces.

Cables pulled back and connection hidden in loom.

Light is now off, only time will tell !

Not had a look at the old connector yet, but it has been wet.

Still cant work out why rover ran the channels from the sunroof inside the firewall !!! (next job, strip out old pipes and run new ones down the A pillars then push them all the way through the rubber grommets so they poke out in the wing)

Yes those sun roof drain tubes are or were not ideal, have you undertaken the sunroof drain mod in the link below.

Hello friends
I write here because my rover 75 turned on the airbag light
already change the connectors but follow the light on
I've read in many places, but I do not know what I'm doing wrong,
I have read about the airbag module, which stores the accident data,
I have diagnosed with toaf.and I get some error like this says
9162-RFIS Status lamp (HWL) SHORT TO GROUND OR OPEN CIRCUIT
I thank you for your help
