Fabric coming adrift from back of front seat
The fabric on the back of the passenger front seat is coming adrift on my 18 year old 75. Has anyone else had this? The driver's side shows signs of this starting too. I can smooth it back in place but it only lasts for an hour or so. The glue (which is orange) just isn't sticky enough anymore.
Steve.

I would take the back off, carefully peel back the material and re-attach with a good quality upholstery contact adhesive. Not too much or it will soak through the material.

I tried that but it wasn't really satisfacory on mine, started peeling off again when we had a few really hot summer days. Cured the issue by fitting leathers

Was the deletion of the fabric covering on the seat back another Project Drive cost cutting exercise? My 03 plate 75 just has a black plastic panel.

You could fit a pair of map pockets
The foam which is part of the material is degrading, so reglueing with spray adhesive is a temporary fix. You could scrape the foam from the material then reattach using spray glue, but it will require the seat back to be removed, so if you were going to that trouble I would upgrade to map pockets Brian |
