rover 75 key locked in the trunk

hello,

my brother is a new owner of a 2000's rover 75, 1800 cmc benzin but he have a not nice problem:
- being in hurry, he closed the key inside of the trunk.
I have checked the forum but the replies to other cases are done on private message.
Please give us a relevant advice (not breaking the windows.. ).

it is a electrical locker? can be triggered throught the front door edge if the unit knows the doors are locked from outside by the key?


any advice today will be helpfully due our location in a county side.
