Thumbs up If money and circumstances were no problem..

What car would you have alongside your 75 or ZT V8? After all, surely you'd have one of those V8s on that "no problem" basis ....

No contest for me, one of these.

The McLaren 12c

I don't like most modern cars, and I am not really into flash stuff, either. For me, I'd love a Mk2 Cortina 2000E auto, or a Ford Granada MK2 Ghia auto. I had the latter in my younger days and deeply regret letting it go. Nothing else springs to mind off the top of my head!

Agree on the McLaren but I suppose the other option would be an Aston.

Having been given a lift in an F Type I was shocked at how quick a modern car can be but the owner was telling me how much it cost to run, it was eye watering. A pair of £500 rear tyres every 3k, a service was about £500 but discs and pads all round were about £1800 and it needed fronts every service and rears every other service.

Dream on.

Good choice, John.

If I had the cash, it would be many cars - loads of Italian jobs from the 60's. You need to try the dark side.

This LamborghAudi very much does it for me (or a Gallardo or an Aventador). Right side of evil looks :

This sort of modern update also gets my vote - best of both worlds the classic with better hardware :

What car looks better without bumpers?

I hate to be pedantic, but the 2000E was Mk 3. As for me, definitely something British, but I'd have to have a toss up between these two.

You're right, I'm a typo queen! I actually had a white Mk2 auto with column change, but that was a bit of a rot box!

I'll go with the Mustang vote as well, but it would have to be a 60's original if I had the money!
