Default V6 question

Are the alternators and manifolds the same on all the V6s? As I've no experience with these engines I'm just a bit curious if the 2ltr manifold is different to the 2.5 one.

Are their a lot of bits that are interchangeable between them? I could lay myself some good spares up for the day I buy a 190 if their are

Have you looked at Rimmer's website Tony?

They have nearly everything in common .
Things I know to be different are the crankshaft and con-rods to give the longer stroke to the 2.5 , and the camshafts to give different timing and lift to the various power ratings.
As said , any particular bit can be checked on Rimmers' website for variants .

No Simon, I thought I'd ask here first before I went mooching around Rimmers website. I was just curious really, my donor car is a 2 litre so if I can save any bits from it for the future then I'm a happy bunny
