It would still fail the MOT without the ABS light present as they check that it comes on as part of ignition-on self test. They've seen too many instances of missing bulbs or the warning symbol being taped over to fall for it.

ABS led replaced, new push button stalk and a good wipeover...

all done and on the way back tomorrow...

tell me about it... 2 ipk's today and BOTH had ABS lamps disabled in some way...

don't these idiots realise they are putting folks lives at risk...

Just been on me 'ollibobs for a few days and must admit I put a bit of tape over mine, on the outside. I didn't wanna look at it for 2-3 hrs at a time. Hopefully light will go off properly after next weeks repair.

Thank's got it back today. I fitted it. All lights came on as expected. When I tried to start the engine. There was a loud clicking noise coming from the injector area. It's not a flat battery.

Now the ignition system has gone haywire! I'm going to contact someone with a T4. I believe Gary Lovel has one if he is still about.

Starter solenoid....

fixed with a kit for about 10-20 quid IIRC
