Those are what I can see generic AUX-in interfaces which will not provide any sort of ipod control or charging. Incidentally they look exactly like one half of the complete kit.

But to answer Phils question on wether it's just a matter of plugging in and putting the ipod in the glovebox I'd say maybe. I wired mine though the glove box but as the playlist selection stuff didn't work I kept the ipod in the hole at the bottom of the centre console (with the cable running - visibly - to the glovebox).

I'd be looking for something with a way to control select playlists or albums via the head unit buttons and to keep the iPod in the glovebox out of sight and charging.

Hello. its one of my first posts but the search faclity doesnt seem to answer my question.

I dont know what head unit I have in the car. I have a 6 disc autochanger in the glove box and steering wheel controls, but I would like an easy (cheap) way to also connect my Ipod Nano when travelling a good distance.

Im not sure i want to lose the CD changer.

Don't know what happened to my previous link, but it is as you say, just an aux adaptor.

Connects 2 did do one that allows control of the iPod. I have one connected to my Symphony. I would expect it's the same as a BMW one since the changer was Kbus controlled.

I'll keep digging....
