EGR Vacuum tube
Mine has gone.... When I put the by-pass in I blocked off the tube and cable tied it away safely..... Whilst doing the reverse air intake mod I noticed that it was gone Probably as a result of a couple of engine changes over the years
Anyway, I know where it was connected to the old EGR, but where was the other end connected ?

It goes onto the block above the starter motor, the one that is always breaking off. Hopefully that valve has a non-return valve in it, otherwise you would be loosing your vacuum all the time.

Wouldnt block it with owt like silicone, it may get sucked in!
Just get another bit of pipe and block it with a screw.

As above if I am right EGR solenoid valve off the car pics below, I am almost sure I have a pic with it fitted to the car but finding it is another matter

Thanks Steve,
But mine is an older version to the 3rd pic.. I think.. I never had a sensor in the Intercooler pipe that later models had. If I can find the source [] I will just block it off there.... Quote:
Thereby negating the need for a tube and a self tapper My other question still stands however..... What would be the effect of losing the vacuum ?
