Use it loads.....in town and out of town.
Helps keeping under the speed limit without keeping flitting eyes back and fore the speedo too much and its pretty relaxing on motorways / dual carriageways. I don't really see much difference effort wise in altering speed occasionally due to differing traffic speed with C/C or with normal driving. Never had C/C before my last car ( mercedes E240 ) wouldn't buy a car without it now. |

Very useful in average speed areas (i.e. most motorways converting to be smart!), but otherwise only used when traffic is very light (i.e. never!)

I use CC as often as I can, but don’t feel safe with the speed limiter!

I have CC as standard in my Conny cdt SE, handy for motorway and fast roads, I recon it must improve MPG slightly and reduces the chances of getting stung by speed cameras, I'm currently upgrading my 190 with cruise control for the same reason, it would have been handy last year when driving round Europe and I'm sure it will be an advantage when on the Dutch dash in September.

Use CC all the time commuting the 45 miles or so along A96 most of time out of rush hour traffic and love it. The only small complaint I have is the position of the disengage button, which seems too low and i'm tempted to do the mod that i've seen on here somewhere, mounting a small switch on top of the central wheel fascia, at the back. No need to move hands to bottom of wheel then

I use mine as much as possible. You have to anticipate further ahead, which can't be bad. I am sure it improves fuel consumption on a long journey.
I also think it helps a lot when the speed limit drops to something like 50, it's very easy for your speed to increase without it.
