How to get back in action a Symphony without the code?

It's for a French mate in dispair.
He's just got from a garage a 75 with a Symphony Low Line radio.
But impossible to get the code?
Is it possible to help him out of his misery?

You can try one of these online services. Just provide the serial number in the radio and your VIN.

I did the same. Paid 20 Euros and got a code. Now waiting to type the code since the radio says "wait".

Is it asking for a code because the Symphony wasn't coded from the factory, was done at dealer level at the buyer's request if at all. There is a possibility a code may be somewhere on the radio body in marker pen.
