I am not sure the BBUS chirps when 'normally' activated. It will chirp (although I would call it a meep - a discreet beep lol) when an aperture (door, boot, or bonnet) has not closed correctly. It is common for the bonnet switches to play up and cause this. I am not sure how to check or rectify this, but there are plenty of posts on it through the forum. You can remove it, however make sure the alarm system has been deactivated (unlock the car with the remote) before you do. It can be switched off if it does go off, but the damage done by the lump hammer renders it U/S afterwards lol.

(The Sony warning noise is irritating after a while, I am assuming you have done this, but removing the face before switching off, will silence it)

I had no idea they did that until now but if you had two cars with them in, it "could" still be original?

I really love the car - can see why my brother did too. I don't want to mess with it much at all, just fix niggles without alterations if I can.
