Hi.
This thread is worrying. My late aunt lived in Ash very close to Derek and she went through a similar problem with not getting oxygen at home. I'd be asking the local hospital and GP to get themselves sorted. Seems the level of care is lacking.

My thoughts are with you Derek.

Hi if you speak to Lilian again would be so kind and pass our love and best wishes, as we are unable to speak to her while we are away.

Any more news on Derek please. This man deserves all the plaudits going, one of life's true gentlemen. Lucky enough to have him as a friend and even luckier to be considered as one by him. Hope you are feeling better Derek, looking forward to coming up to see you and your lovely wife in the New Year. All the very best from Devon matey.

I spoke to Lilian last night, Derek is not good, at the moment he is in the Cardiac ward, before being moved to the respiratory ward, Lilian is at the end of her tether and is gradually wearing her down, not being very mobile with a hip problem more often than not she is having to park a fair distance away, then having to walk quite a distance to the wards.
We were hoping to visit but unfortunatly I have got to go to our old home and clear out the rest of our belongings stored in a garage we have rented, a friend will be bringing up the rest of our stuff over the weekend,
By the sounds of it they are shedding them around, she sounded quite tearful over the phone, obviously she has her family around her, and they are doing everything they can to help, but they do have their own lives to lead work etc!.
Sometimes I feel sorrowful we have moved away, and can't offer more support.

What sad reading this makes.
Don't know what to say really other than best wishes to both Derek and Lillian.

Thank you for the update.

Reading all this is very sad indeed - was hoping to see Derek soon. Fingers crossed I will.
