Default Anyone interested?

I have both an MG ZT diesel and a Rover 75 diesel, both in need of various bits of work, that at this time I cant justify paying someone to do at extortionate labour rates.

In the past id have tackled it myself but kids and work and my wifes illness are taking up all of my time, so I am going to have to wave goodbye to both the carriages.

The MG ZT is silver, 04 plate, 160k miles, 135hp spec and cosmetically is a bit rough, and has always been rough during my ownership, the bonnet had loads of cat scratches all over it , and being stood for a while has only made it worse! Mechanically its pretty good, engine has always run faultlessly. The reason its off the road was alternator not charging, it might just need a regulator and or brushes. It could do with a clutch change soon, but has no cylinder related issues.

Currently its starter motor is off awaiting the contact change, which will take me 5 mins.

Car has climate control, and I recently found it has the cruise wiring present behind dash so could be upgraded with cruise easily. Its a manual. Has half leather in black, silver dash. driver seat is rough rest are fine.

Is sitting on rover 75 alloys i think they are 15s.

The second is a gold Rover 75, base spec, basic Aircon. 130k miles. 115hp spec, currently has tuning box set for increased torque and a bit of power hop up.

due MOT soon, and will need a suspension joint at the front fro sure which is clonking, and may need handbrake addressing although it does hold fine. I have some spare rear shoes, spare handbrake cables (both gifted to me by an old colleague, and all brand new) and also a mini compensator in hand which can go with the car.

Car needs clutch doing soon, slips occasionally in 4th if on a steep hill and you floor it.

cloth interior.

sitting on the 18" gridspokes from the MG ZT, I have 6 of these.

Id rather they went back on the road than to the scrappy, but I need my space back and them gone really.

I am in Swansea.

Oh I forgot, the Rover has a fbh thats working too

And the MG has in line stat installed.

The rover seems to not need one as it stands, but I have a brand new one in hand to pass on.

My membership must have lapsed again making my inbox smaller than its contents!

I am not currently looking to gift them, as they are certainly not beyond saving, I just dont think its economical for me to pay to have them fixed, but someone doing the work themselves it could be a bargain. Id happily sell both cars for £500 ono for the pair.

Yes I could break them, and I have the space to do so, but not the time.

Of course, if someone wants some big parts from them, I can always negotiate, and scrap the remainder. There are various parts which are almost brand new on both cars, such as one of the rear arms on the 75, changed 6 months ago, the crank pulley on the ZT changed a little before it went off the road. etc...

Really id rather sell them or chunks of them to the community rather than the local scrappy, but i'm not looking to profit by any means, they don't owe me much.

Pretty fair pricing there, if I wasn't downsizing id have had them, good luck with the sale, easy fixes for the members on here.

As you say, I would rather they stay available to be driven or at least benefit a community member in some way.

Hi Andy.

If you are selling both these vehicles, you will be required to be a subscribed member.

Thank you.

The OP has decided to uplift his status to list his cars.

To allow him to see the original content I have temporarily published the thread.

The cars will be listed in the For Sale section shortly.
