Peter

Has your 75 been off the road for a while?

I'm sure I used to drive past it every day but haven't seen it for a while

It didn't get used much for about a year. I bought it in Ligoneil just before Christmas.

Gave it a quick snow foam and wash, fitted ppd rear quarter badges and chrome GB badge, loaded car up with newly purchased set of Unions to get them balanced and laser aligned.

Default Water Leak

Read a few threads recently re water around boot and bonnet levers, especially the ones by Dawn. Ordered the slam panel/scuttle clips from ebay (funny how they come in packs of 6 when 7 needed)Removed wiper arms, plenum covers replaced clips, checked plenums both dry, all refitted hopefully this will cure leak.
Only gearbox oil change on my to do list, nearly there.

New fan, new condenser (courtesy of Jules, and they are excellent replacements), new rear pads, tomorrow the new lower engine mount and undertray fixings.

I could do with changing the rear discs, new handbrake shoes, replace the compensator and then adjust the lot up ahead of the MoT but the top caliper bolt on the offside is threatening to round off (they really are the devil to get at) so a trip to the scrappy first for some secondhand ones off a V6 ZT that's sitting there before I put the blowtorch to the mounting and try to loosen it off.

While I'm there I'm tempted to get the aircon compressor and pipework too. Are they the same for the petrol and diesel models?

I think the aircon compressor's are different for the diesel.

The aircon compressor and pipework are different Pete, in regards to your caliper carrier bolt, use a decent quality 1/2" AF ring spanner on the bolt, as the hex of the bolt is normally wasted with rust.

1/2" AF equates to 12.7mm which normally results in a nice tight fit on the bolt head, and has not failed me yet

Yes, the air con compressors are the same, only the pulley with clutch is different, but you can take it from your old compressor.
