I like to use a dose of Iron-X, then liquid wax followed by spray sealant such as the one made by Auto Glym. As brakes throw off tiny particles that can sink into paint, I prefer the liquids to get a better coverage and seal up any footholds these bits can get their teeth into.

Wheels will come off mind in a few weeks when we see the back of the salt. Get the backs all cleaned up and re paint the calipers as they are rusting a little.
