It is a waste.. and will probably deteriorate more before something is done.. I would like one.. but have a P6...
and regarding prices - like SD1, the P6's seems to be increasing in price too - especially for a good V8.. Will sort mine soooooon... |

As a youngster, a V8 SD1 was the first automatic car I ever drove.
It was a director's car, at the place where I worked. It was a bit different from the Midget, I had at the time, and the Moggie Minor that I owned before. I was spoilt though, as I learnt to drive in my Father's 2000TC P6. Despite the fact that the SD1 was launched over 40 years ago, I still think that they still look great and has not dated, like others. A tribute to the design!

It was my uncle that had the SD1 too.. when we all (both families) went camping to Cornwall, I used to try to get to go in his car rather than my dads cortina.. lol..
They are fabulous cars.. and the interiors are so comfortable.. When the time came I ended up getting an Hatchback 800 which are just the modern "looking" SD1 in my eyes.. Last edited by kbonney88; 24th January 2017 at 11:50.. |

My father had a P6, it was absolutely lovely, but he moved on to the Coritina, and then another, and another, and then another and so on. |

Prior to Rover 75 ownership my last saloon car was a P6 3500S.
Here is a picture of it, with the rest of my collection at the time. This was taken in 2000, the year that my V6 was built. Now I am down to two Rover 75s, a Series Land Rover and a motorbike.
