Cleaned it, put some wax on it, and that's about it.

Going round a couple of scrapyards again tomorrow, see what treasures I can find.

Found a totally flat rear tyre, possibly as a result of grossly overloading it a few days previously (if anyone is bothered to see why go back down this thread).
Fitted its spare Union, then had to unpack a recently purchased 15" Y-spoke (rare, I believe) to use as a spare. Treat the wheel and tyre size difference as one should the temporary steel wheels and should be OK if necessary.

Cool

Stopped another petrol station going bust. Filled the V8 up with whoosh juice.

removed passenger side front wing as badley dented and fitted a new one (well second hand) paint match isnt 100% but its still GMN white gold, noticed i have odd indicator lenses on the wings, ones smoked the others clear, checked and mines supposed to be clear so ordered one of off eBay, stripped all the clips for trim off and put old one out for pikies.
Jet washed it and then hot soappy water, finished off with another blast of the jet wash then waxed it was raining while i was washing it im sure my neighbours think im mad

had the bumper off for the first time held on with a few cable ties ill have to remidy that

reason for bumper off both dipped beams blew last night so decided to drop the headlights easier than messing about with my big hands ... fitted some HIDs to projectors..we will se how that works out

also fitted the gold resistor thats been sat here for a week or more

skipped the headlight restoration and inter cooler O rings as cold and damp and miserable out there .. so essentials it was for today

BUT the FBH did turn up so started the install on that ..

i got in the car yesterday, put key in ignition and turned to start position, no starter just a click from the solenoid. checked battery ok, checked fuses and relays ok. shut bonnet locked car came back in and had a cuppa! looks like i may have bad contacts on the starter, no warning of impending doom previously, ordered a repair kit and await its delivery.i am keeping fingers crossed this is the problem as i have not taken it out yet.

I checked the battery with a multi meter, 12.57 volts reading, battery about 5 months old, lights heater fan etc all working as they should. so just a guess really from the problems others have reported.

Replaced the cabin filter and took the opportunity to rod the plenum drain.. Was bone dry in there, but the filter was disgusting!

Replaced the air filter with a nice new K&N one

Greased up the bonnet release cable connector box and added ziplock ties to the cable outers.

Cleaned and sprayed underseat airbag connectors with switch cleaner and resolved the airbag fault warning light.

Tried to work out why HRW doesn't operate. Relay functioning ok. Power to relay present when switch operated. All fuses ok, but appears not to function at all. Think I may need to dig into wiring at the back - any suggestions?
