I hate the new fivers, they look and feel like Monopoly money.

To be honest over the last year I've almost stopped using cash. With my phone I can use contactless up to £100 and anything above that level just goes onto the card as normal. Even my local now accepts contactless so I can buy beer using my phone.....just awesome! Given the speed of the transition I don't think it will be long before using cash becomes 'quaint' and unusual.

Fake money
Ive always thought that as long as the coin/note is accepted , it doesnt matter whether its fake or not .
The only person who should be penalised is the originator. Then when its in circulation it is accepted at the face value . The pieces of paper (now plasic ) have no intrinsic value , and only 'promise to pay the bearer '. |
