They produced a fair few ZT auto V6's so keep your eyes open they do come up. As already said your looking for a ZT 180, not the ZT 190 as that one's a manual.

My 2003 ZT180 is an auto.Has most options in it (dual climate control, power seats etc)
Reasonably rare over here as most were sent as manuals due to the sporty nature of the MGs and most seem to have the single climate controls.
The car also had wiring in place for heated seats etc which I hooked up when I changed the interior to a smoke stone Rover 75.
Only thing it dosnt have is a rear electric blind or traction control!!
As a matter of interest saw a MGZT 260 V8 , 2004 for sale the other day, asking price $39,000 AUD !!!!
I know only 800ish of these were made but hells bells !!!

Paul; check your VIS system and clear your crankcase breather's pinhole restrictors in the cam covers. Then drive it in a spirited fashion for a while to enable the gearbox's adaptive software to adjust. You might even try sport mode.

Would love another V6 but with the car I have Being a 'known' quantity it'd be a big risk.

How tempting! Stephen never sells bad cars, might be worth a punt? you wont regret the V6... plus 300 miles to ~£25 is bang on!

What sort of prices do they fetch?

I knew you wouldn't be able to resist Dawn.

I've had V6 and V8 motors before - just not Rover/MG. There don't seem to be any autos about close enough at the moment. It's all your fault, Cliff!

I rescued a ZT 180 2005 41k miles and sold the best ZT I ever had to replace it. As slow as a milk float to get upto speed and did 17 mpg around town.
My good God never again. looked superb with apexes Hi line etc but by the time you floored it and caught up with the Corsa it was time to jump on the anchors to stop at the next junction.
( Yes new inlet manifold and re furbished vis motors before anyone asks!)
The chap who bought it passed it to his son who now and again keeps in touch when he hasnt spent all his money on road tax and fuel lol!

And in the moss covered state...............
Ruined alloys a 1.8 exhaust and rusty brakes and a defunkt inlet manifold, water logged boot and no radio unit due to water ingress.

Very nice looking example, but as you say even with the 2.5 motor not the quickest car around.
Sheer weight compared to newer cars is a big part of it all and the KV6 is not the quickest lump around. The car however does have long legs on open roads.
I will add my son inlaw has a newish Audi A5 coupe which goes like a freight train but has already had issues with the lights and coolant leak, so much so even the dealer reckons if anything electrical goes wrong with the Audis it costs a fortune.
