Default Rear LED Tail Light Bulbs

Has anyone replaced the tail light bulbs (I mean the lights that come on with the sidelights at the rear, 5w) with LEDs?

I've got standard lights, not the Chinese LED ones.

I bought some, they looked the part, but fitted them and they are rubbish - not as bright and you can actually see blue out of the housing?

Don't need to worry about "no error" compatible lights with TOAF, and in fact I'd prefer to avoid "no error" ones if possible.

we bought loads of these for our classic cars and they aren't as good as you think.

the best results we had was the interior light and panel lights.

the ones we have give off a blue light, so mix that with the orange and red filters then you can clearly see the problem.

Yes, I've tried LEDS for brake lights, but they're disappointing. Look dull compared with filament lights, just not bright enough and don't give an even spread of light. Also tried LED festoon bulbs for number plate lamps but too directional and not bright enough.

Would be interested to know if anyone has found LED brake bulbs they are happy with.

Don't know where he got them from though - but they are very good - I've got them fitted.
