EGR cleaning spray
Well, after being told by many "experts" that EGR cleaning spray is a waste of time and money I decided to give it a go (I do have an EGR bypass fitted).
My main reason for using it was to clean the MAF sensor as even a small amount of gunk on it will reduce its effectiveness. I am amazed at the results! On a 20 mile test run MPG has gone up by about 5 MPG, the engine is quieter with improved response and the auto box no longer feels like a startled slug. I don't expect this to last or be as effective as a new MAF but I am glad I decided to ignore the "experts" |

It was an EGR cleaner, £9.99 at Halfrauds. Says it cleans EGR, Airflow Sensor and inlet valves.
Took all covers off, air filter out and wife sat in drivers seat keeping revs constant. Sprayed directly into manifold where air filter is normally seated. |
