For the 1.8 K-engine, its exactly the same engine as long as its the coil pack type. My rebuilt 1,8 engine has had an earlier life in a Freelander

The Freelander K series engines were built at Longbridge by Rover PowerTrain, the same as ours. The block will be the same.

I could be wrong but the block for the turbo k series in the 75/zt will be different from the freelander block due to the oil feed to the turbo. Freelanders never had the turbo engine fitted.

The blocks on the NA engines will be the same.

The flange casting for the turbo oil drain is present but unfinished on all K series main bearing ladder rails.

It is possible to utilise a 1.4 block for an 1800T, just ask Dissy1810
