Default What is this bracket for?

At the nano, I noticed this....



What is it for ? Maybe a stupid question but I have it on mine and not noticed an use for it before...... BTW mine has nothing attached to this bracket, so the pic is not the best example but is patently designed for something.....

The power steering fluid reservoir is fixed there on the petrol engined 75s and mgs. ed.

No wonder I had not noticed it before, only noticed it on mine and other diesels

not on my 1.8T it isn't. Power Steering res is on the bulkhead.
Was this on early PPD ones ?

No, it is just for the V6 power steering.

The V8 uses it for an air intake pipe iirc
