What a day! Work this morning then had a go at fixing 'marmite' stripped the air box out and fitted a new MAF sensor, put it all back together and check with T4, 324 mg/st and 1.88volt output. 1.88 volts is out of range. Strip out and remove and replace with another new MAF, although when looking at it it wasn't new! Now have 420 mg/st and 1.99 volts, close but not quite, needs a minimum of 2 volts output, quite annoyed that this one had obviously been used before!! Took a chance and drove the car only to find there's a massive flat spot so stripped and removed once again but refitted the original but left it disconnected Quite annoyed at two faulty MAF units from local factors. Before you all shout "buy an X part one" I did 14 months ago and it's failed already and looking at the current price £179 + vat is way to steep for me every 14 months! So MAF disconnected and car is running great but an afternoon / evening wasted.

When I had a diesel, I bought a Bosch one from eurocarparts, with discount it was a sensible price.

Thanks mate will have a look. I got intermotor and fuel systems ones today but they were both the same make which I hadn't heard of. Will try euro car parts as I get a discount through work

Looks like euro car parts is the same price as Xpart. Think I need to look for a good used one or hope the one I loaned to a member might be returned if they didn't use it. Need to save some penny's for a new car

http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/...1d9394e&000009

Use code CP15LESS for £15 off the advertised price.

Edit, Phil types faster than me, and has a better deal
