Put the green goblin in for the MOT challenge and she passed with only the same advisory's as last year. Soooo happy

Sorted the seized rear caliper - quick strip down, clean out and rub down and good to go, and more importantly stop.

It's possibly the first time I've viewed this thread, and this is what I see . Excellent work Bastelmann. You clearly have both patience and an eye for detail, though I guess we already new that after seeing the gear knobs you made.

Today I have:

Fitted the 'shaped' rear number plate

Installed a permanent power feed for my dash cam

Cleaned out Plenums

But the big one(well I say big, it's big for me)...fitted the thermostat kit which I put off for so long but which was actually not too bad to do although getting the thermostat in the pipe was a pig, but otherwise quite happy and another job ticked off the list and now for the first time since I have owned the car the needle has gone up to the half way mark, so I'm happy!

not posted anything for a long time now as rover been off the road for a year now so MOT failed so new controls arms both sides with bushes new drop links new track rod ends and one new front brake caliper luckily have the use of a 2 post ramp that makes life a lot easier so back in to for MOT this morning and passed with a few advisories and amazed on how nice it drives after a year out of it so a oil and filter service tomorrow and new belts as i now have a lot of trips to Oban in Scotland to do now and my ford transit is a little thirsty for 600 mile trips so glad to be back on the road

Washed (three times) the outside of Chris's car hoovered the interior and got in ready to drive to the MOT station.........oh hell what is that bloke with a balloon on his lap doing there?????

Now you have to bear in mind this is 15 minutes before the test, and the testing station is 10 miles away

Ran into the house and scooped up T4 and plugged it in and booted up the laptop, then hoofed it up the road at a fair lick.

When I pulled up at the MOT station I knew what had happened, and in the five minutes remaining before the MOT slot I had fixed the problem and stowed T4 in the boot.

An hour or so later, I was driving to the hospital to pick up Chris from work, so it looks like she'll have to put up with driving the 75 for another year.

P.S. it was a pass without advisories and the smoke test was .12 of a maximum of 1.6

That little fellow appeared on the way to the test station on Debs ztt as well, I’m sure he knows when it’s mot time!
