Hi John,
I have one with a very peculiar fault. When you turn the menu knob one step left or right the cursor on the display moves two steps. For instance when entering a street name the curser moves a c e g, same thing in the main menu and when selecting a radio station. The BMBT generates the correct ibus message ie "BMBT --> GT : BM_Knob: Left 1 step". I tried loading a different OS to see if maybe the code handling the knob would end up in a different memory location but to no avail. Still think it's a memory problem either in the processor or external. It's a pity there's no documentation on these units. I realize this is not a commercially viable enterprise, more an exercise for the brain. Hans |
