Paint prep
In light of some of us already having received, (and some on tenterhooks waiting for their delivery!), Crofts' door finishers, I wondered what the safest product/method is for prepping the paintwork for any adhesive/silicon seal? This is with regard to wax or polish forming a barrier between finisher and paint and whether there is a necessity to remove said polish/wax or not.
Thanks in advance.

a wipe down with some white spirit or some all purpose cleaner (stardrops is my fave) should be enough to get a good finish.
Unless you REALLY want them to stick - if you do I would be sanding back with some P120 sandpaper to give it a really good surface to bond to (if you are using glue/sealant) |

Stardrops will clean anything! I love the stuff, cheap too!
