Default Car cleaning products for a faded paint.

Good afternoon lovely day for it.

Wanted too ask if anyone's got any advise regarding valeting options for faded paint.

Want too try and make the car as presentable as possible, how ever there's quite a few area's that have faded, not entirely, but you can see it up close.

It needs a paint job, I don't have the funds and want too try and get the car at least presentable for a show.

Anyone got any ideas what I can use, maybe from your own experience?
I want too get the best out of this as much as possible.
Was going too get this for it.

I have used this, and the sealant is very good. (surprisingly). I actually had the navy one linked to for my old Passat. It will not restore your paint though. At best it is a tinted polish, so the shine has a tint to it, which you then seal with the second bottle. It is messy to apply (the polish) and will make a mess of your cloths and hands. As I said though, the sealant is as good as Autoglym's extra gloss protection, but longer lasting! (if you want a sealant though, Auto Finesse tough coat is even better again).

To restore your paintwork, old fashioned elbow grease is better, or a polisher. I bought THIS polisher and is very good. They are out of stock at the moment, but at £48.99 it was hard to beat. (direct link, ebay link 2)The price for the polish you have linked to, is nearly half the cost of the polisher.

After buying the polisher I bought various pads, and some G3 compound, along with a 3" and 5" backing pads as they are easier to manage.

Agree with all the above but i would also consider some detailer too for a really deep glassy shine. Works really well and surprising quick to apply and polish off. It also seals in your polish coat making it easier to wash the next time too.

How you ding Alan.

Many thanks for your input on this much appreciated and the links as well.
Excellent you've given me hope here that my car can be showed and shine as well despite the imprecations in the paint.
