Cool

Morning all.

Blue sky with some fluffy clouds. 8 degrees currently.

Taking the Bear for jog up to the tip then down to Waterside.

Hmm . . . . beginning to suspect I may have a delayed mild concussion, should be no surprise really, I did smack the ground a good one. I developed a lump on the side of my head last night, that's gone but the side of my head is obviously bruised, painful to touch. Dull headache despite paracetamol, went out earlier to collect a repeat prescription and some odds and ends, didn't feel "right". No dizziness, nausea etc, no memory loss . . . . not that I can remember but just don't feel right. TV critic rest of the day and an early night methinks, sleep it off.

If the headache doesn’t go Steve, go to your doc, my lad ended up with a headache for almost 3 months, and NOTHING would touch it,painkiller wise, it just has to run it’s course.

Evening all - apologies for my non appearance on the boards since last week, but matters are unfortunately coming to a head with my sister. After numerous appointments at the hospital, with CT scans, Xrays and ultra sound scans, I fear we have reached the point of no return. Although there is another appointment with the oncologist on Friday, the pleural specialist has today explained in quite basic terms what is happening, and the fact that there is no treatment available which will alleviate the pain etc.
Final decision to made Friday, but it looks like palliative care only now.

Sorry

Had little or no sleep last night as the wind and tide combined for a rather noisy night on board

The water was very high this morning with the spring tide and wind. A lot of places on the Southern Broads were subjected to localised flooding, especially on the Yare and Waveney rivers. Not quite as bad on the Northern Broads where we are thankfully.

Only a couple of weeks back we had exceptionally low water on the outgoing spring tides and those places that were flooded today had their boats sitting on the mud where the water once was

What a difference a few weeks can make on the water.

So sorry for your news Rod.
Not what anyone would want to hear.

I'm sure that the medical care team will do everything in their power to make sure your sister can be made as comfortable and pain free as can be.

Ros and I send all our thoughts and prayers to your Sister and all of you at this time.
