Baffles in silencer have been rattling for 6 months, last week went into Kwick fit as was rattling like hell. Heat shield had dropped, new washer on one bolt, could not get to the other. Peeled rotten steel off back box, date still visible on front box, original 2003. Pretty rotten.

Phoned Long life exhausts in Oswestry for price on stainless cat back system, said they would call me back, but never did!

Took Rover to my local garage, ex Rover factory trained mechanic, says it sounds really "Rorty" Has ordered a full cat back exhaust, fitting booked for 1st August, don't know how much it will cost, but I trust him to do a good job.
