I've been trying to sort out a plan 'B' or plan 'C' if my BEV doesn't come to fruition by next Spring,(yeah I know long time away yet) and I've been doing some searching for alternative cars when I take the Rover off the road to see if it's worthwhile saving it from the rot or call it a day .

I must admit it's going to be a tough job trying to get the same quality as the 75, I'm not a lover of wall to wall cheap black plastic interiors.

I've been looking at a Skoda Superb, very nice big cars and there seems to be a lot with City addresses which have had quite a few price reductions in the last few months, especially on diesels. (Autumn budget and City ban fears looming!!!!)

I don't really want a diesel as I don't do enough mileage to warrant one but I wont close the door on one as I think there will be some really good bargains in the coming months.

I'm also wary of Local Council plans if the government let them decide their own green taxes/bans on emission regulations. They were talking about taking diesel cars off the streets of Bolton altogether at one point
http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/...ution_levels_/

They are promoting that 'Green journeys' campaign which is persuading people to take public transport instead of the car.

Other cars I've been looking at are 'S' type Jags & Vauxhall insignia's, The top of the range models with Sat-Nav etc are really well priced. Again they are very nice cars indeed as I've read of a few members on this forum Steve & Rich who have recently bought them singing their praises.

Decisions decisions, I've got lots of time to mull it over.

Anyone using that new Firefox Quantum browser yet! It's lightening fast compared to the old one, The only thing I don't like about it is some of my favourite add on's are not compatible with the new browser
