how do you make the landriover h/brake finisher fit
got my hand brake hanble plasticky bit off, now how do i make this fit

All you neeed to do is twist out the black inner plastic section, takes a little bit of playing with but it's only glued in and then the walnut piece your left with slips neatly over the handbrake. I also used some thin double sided tape before pushing into place to ensure it was a nice tight fit and wouldn't twist once in place.
Unlike devilish I didn't remove the gaitor on mine just pushed it on. Take your pick and enjoy :lol: Here's a pic of mine:

installed and admired, looks good altho i havnt actually glued inplace yet, got 2 weeks before its on the road, gonna get some double sided tape and do it that way, looks classy tho, all i need now is a wooden knob, gear stick knob that is!!

droitwich garage have got these back in stock i see...just paid a lot more than that for one...watch the quality,2002 quality control inspection
i drilled one of these out a few months ago as an experiment with a 19 mm drill for a tighter fit..if you pull the plastic sleeve out and its a bit slack,wrap a bit of insulation tape around the gaiter end of the handbrake shaft and twist it on,easy to remove..don't stick it on. |
