Default New Clutch Help

I have just fitted a new clutch, master cylinder and slave.I have just pressed the clutch for the first time and the pedal goes to the floor.Am I right in thinking the master is sealed and does not need bleeding. Is the slave also sealed or do I need to bleed through from the master?I can here a slurping noise from the master when I depress the clutch pedal.Any help much appreciated.

The master is not sealed! The reservoir is under the steering wheel, remove the two screws securing the panel under the wheel, remove the upper section and pull the lower section down, you will wee the cylinder just above the pedal.

Hi Steve, what I meant was the master is brand new as is the slave.I understood they were filled with fluid already and would not need bleeding. It seems like the master has emptied into the slave although I have not took the dash panel out to check this. Would this happen? Does the slave need bleeding after replacement?

Just seen your reply Ian.Hopefully bleeding should restore pedal.

Normally they don't need bleeding but I have came across a couple that did require bleeding after a change

My Master had oil in the tank, where the slave needed bleeding.

Sorry, there is something wrong ...

Master and slave are pre filled and the quick fit connector normally ,
prevent the need of bleeding ..
