CDT Loss Of Power
comming home this evening the car felt as if it had a flat spot. When I stopped at a roundabout and pulled away the engine would not rev above about 2000 RPM. I stopped and pressed the accelerator and the 'flat spot' seemed to vary, sometimes it was about 2000 and other times it was at 3500 RPM. Any one got any ideas what the problem may be. I had a look at what I think is the intercooler to pipe connection but it seems tight but it doesent look like the ones I have seen photos of.
Thank in anticipation Jim |

Maf
It sounds like the notorious MAF sensor to me. Plenty of posts about this. Roverron provides an excellent guide to this. http://www.tuning-diesels.com/75Zt/R75maf.htm

Hi Chris
I hope its not, I only replaced it just before Christmas. Cost me best part of £200 for a Bosch unit, but I will try the disconnecting trick and see if it helps. Thanks for the reply. Jim |

They should come with a Guarantee but not sure of the Length.
Some Bosch ones haven't lasted to the end of the Road. I had some faulty ones and Rover Ron had to return a batch. |
