Unhappy How do you remove the glovebox

Hi Guys, i want to remove the glovebox on my 2001 Conn SE, i can see and remove the 4 screws from the top edge when you open the glovebox and i can feel the 3 on the bottom edge from underneath/round the back of the dash, but how do you get to them!

According to RAVE you just lift up the glovebox lining at the back to access them, but this doesn't work... they seem to hidden behind the 3 lid hinge points

found top of inside front edge of the glove box and three under the
front of the fabric mat on the inside base of the glovebox-just peel
the front of the fabric until the screws are revealed).

Then literally pull the glove box forward out of the dash, release the
glovebox lamp power feed plug and wiring on the left hand side and then as you pull the glovebox out release the changer power lead. You can then remove the glovebox.

Note - If you have not completely removed the three bottom screws do not put the glovebox down on your leather seats or paintwork etc as the tips of the screws protrude and could cause some damage

Get a sharp knife and cut a small cross in the carpet over each screw. You can then poke the torx bit through.

Saves pulling the carpet up.......rarely sticks back properly
