Phantom Wipers !
On my "new" ZT-T last night the alarm went off, not a problem I thought, went outside and pressed the fob, lights and alarm off but then in the dark I hear a strange noise, hey ho the wipers front and rear are working. How come ? Doors locked key in hand !
So I unlock the car and start the engine, wipers stop, stop engine remove key, wipers start ! Also at one point with the car locked I could see the ignition lights on on the dash, eh how come ? After doing this several times I ended up whipping the earth lead off the battery. This morning all seems ok ,so what was it ? |

If you've got sat nav you've probably got water in the boot well or in the sat nav drive....this is a sympton of water touching the k-bus circuit

Also, if it is a diesel, it can be water corrosion to the contacts of the glow plug relay.
This also plays havoc with the K-bus

Exactly the fault i had. A wet bcu under the glove box. Spray all connections with wd40 and wrap the bcu in plastic before bolting it back to the bulkhead.hth
