Switching from black oak to walnut
I've got a 1.8t contemporary face lift with black oak trim. How easy would, it be to switch to walnut and what would be the cost?

It takes minutes to change over. You’ll need a hex key to remove the panel over the air bag. Disconnect the car battery first and go for a cup of tea to allow any current in the system to disappear or the air bag might go off!
Never had one go off yet but best be safe. I have a spare real wood walnut dash and a spare later plastic walnut one. To be honest, I’ve not tried to sell either as I’m a hoarder of spares “just in case”.

Like all things, once you know how, it's easy...well, easier! And yes, whilst the black oak somehow works well in MG cars, I think my walnut wood is a vast improvement!

Real wood every time, it gives a much nicer look than the plastic.
