Jim Clarke Record
Hi Bob. How about that. Jim Clarke's record is matched today by Hammy. Never thought I would see that for a few more years yet.

Jim Clark still one of the best. These modern drivers have a lot to learn from the 'masters'.
The likes of Hill, Hawthorn, Fangio, Moss, Rindt, Siffert and the list continues. Proper drivers who changed up and down the box, none of this computer gimmickry. Using pit signals to rely on not getting instructions over the radio.

Then there is changing car/engine settings remotely while still going round the circuit. Not real driving like it used to be back in the good ole days when only the driver drove the car. I suppose it's no good harking back to those days, but I think it would be more exciting for both drivers and watchers. John Surtees was another miracle driver, swooping from being m/cycle champion to race cars..

Pretty sure that no car settings can be made remotely. The telemetry only goes one way... Any settings that have to be changed are relayed to the driver who makes the changes on the wheel.
